The School of Health & Social Sciences is looking for a skilled Technical Executive to manage the daily operations of nursing laboratories, ensuring the laboratories are well maintained and equipped for teaching, learning & assessment activities. We are looking for a proactive and meticulous individual who will be involved in procuring and managing stock control of equipment & consumable supplies and conducting generic nursing skills training.
[What you will be working on]
Manage the day-to-day operations of nursing laboratories.
Liaise with academic staff to discuss timetables and equipment requirements.
Assist in preparation of nursing practical sessions and conducting generic nursing skills training such as mask fitting and BCLS/AED.
Procure and manage stock control of equipment and consumable supplies.
Liaise with vendors to demo/ instruct how to use new equipment.
Manage inventory of teaching equipment and consumable supplies predominantly in the nursing laboratories.
Keep records on lab equipment inventory, workplace safety compliance records, students' practical sessions, booking of laboratories, etc.
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed and carried out, keeping risk assessment updated.
Perform general duties to support the work of lecturers and give technical advice to staff and students.
Carry out laboratory maintenance activities including equipment mainteance, to ensure the laboratories are conducive for teaching and learning.
Provide technical support to other laboratories, e.g. computer laboratories.
Working with managers to maintain and improve all aspects of administration, storage and provision of requisites for learning activities in the nursing laboratories.

Work experience and education qualifications
Relevant qualification in Nursing or healthcare related discipline
Working experience/ internship in the healthcare industry will be an advantage
